The Hospital for Sick Children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is Canada's most research-intensive center dedicated to improving the health of children. Both the Sick Kids Foundation and ARS share the fundamental belief that improving the health and well-being of children is one of the most powerful ways to improve society. As such, we at ARS have always supported the Sick Kids Foundation with proceeds from our annual walkathon. After all, their mission statement “We inspire our communities to invest in health and scientific advances to improve the lives of children and their families in Canada and around the world' reminds us of our own goals in our worldwide efforts to help children and their families create brighter futures.

One of the programs run by the ARS is the Mother & Child Clinic & Birthing Center in Akhourian, Armenia. This center has been providing health care services to over 40,000 residents in the region. The Birthing Center has delivered over 4000 infants since April 2005. ARS provided funding for the construction of this Clinic, as well as funding for its initial programs. ARS continues to support this worthy project by providing funding for equipment necessary to operate the Clinic, as well as sponsoring births in its Birthing Center.
